PRINCIPLE OF USE
ABTS is commonly used in antioxidant assays where it forms the ABTS•+ radical cation. Antioxidants present in samples reduce the radical, causing a measurable decrease in absorbance, usually monitored spectrophotometrically at 734 nm.
